Fresh Fish Supply List

Equipment and Notions:

  • Kit Fee: $30

  • A set of at least 24 Derwent Inktense Pencils (A set of 24 can be purchased at Amazon for about $65. This set includes every color necessary to make any of the fish in the collection plus a few extra colors. (Make sure to get the Inktense pencils and not the Watercolor or Chromaflow pencils.)

  • Or you can buy a set of 15 Derwent Inktense Pencils from me in class or through my shop page for $45 which includes every color necessary to make any of the fish in the collection.

Optional:

  • Notebook and pen or pencil

  • T-shirt, Apron or smock to protect clothing from ink

  • 3/4” paintbrush for painting the background area of the Fresh Fish mini quilt. This can be purchased from me in class or through my shop page.

Each Kit Includes:

  • 2 copies of the fish panel heat set and backed with freezer paper (1 copy to practice on and 1 copy for the final project)

  • Guide to Painting and Finishing your Project

  • Paint by Number Guide

  • Border pattern

  • Painter’s palette

  • 1 small paintbrush

  • 1 really small paintbrush

  • 1 Fantastix applicator

  • 1 pipette

  • 2 stir sticks

  • 1 small paper towel

  • 4.25” x 5.5” PFD scratch fabric for testing colors

  • 1 small bottle of Aloe Vera gel

  • 1 small container of Iridescent textile medium

  • Take-home container of background paint for 1 fish

Guild provides:

  • Paper lunch bag for trash

  • Paper Towels

Students are encouraged to contact Jaimie at here or at jaimie@loopytulips.com/book-jaimie to request a specific fish (shown above) at least two weeks prior to class. More than one fish may be requested for an additional $10 per fish, all 6 may be requested for an additional $40. Please let me know if you would also like a set of 15 Derwent Inktense Pencils.
